Mission Statement

Luckman Intimate

The Artists’ Collective is a "gathering place" where individual artists, writers, educators, producers and various organizations, both formal and informal, can create, present, promote, and encourage theatre and the related arts.

The organization's primary mission is to create an environment dedicated to the artistic expression of a culturally diverse society. We are a performing arts presenting and producing organization, which use theatre as its primary tool in educating the public at large about larger issues surrounding human existence.

As a consequence, work is created by the collective in a variety of performance formats and reflects the vitality, cultural diversity, and social/political concerns which are an integral part of society in the 21st century.

Such works may include new works in progress, multi-lingual texts, and/or revitalized works selected from the canon of world literature. We are interested in partnering and/or producing with other theatre entities in order to access regional, national and international performance opportunities.

Finally, we wish to establish a laboratory for the exploration of new forms of theatre, which will utilize performance art techniques as well as multimedia technology.
